Mark Lotfy

Mark Lotfy is an Egyptian producer and director/writer. He established ‘Fig Leaf Stodios’ in 2005, focusing on the work of emerging filmmakers, quickly rising as one of the most prominent independent production companies in the region. His work has attracted an international recognition and many prestigious awards.
- Produced and Edited Drama 1882 – selected in TIFF & IDFA film festivals 2024,
- Coproduced ‘Amplified’ – received a special mention at Berlinale 2024.
- Co-produced ‘Mother of All Lies ‘- selected in Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival 2023 and won the L’Oeil d’Or and Best Director Prize
- Produced ‘I Am Afraid to Forget Your Face’ – won the Palme d’Or at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival.
- Produced ‘Soad’ selected in Cannes 2020 & Berlinale 2021
- produced Dream away 2019 selected in Karlovy vary and won Critics Award of the International Film festival Fribourg, Switzerland.
- Produced and Directed “One night stand” ( co-directed by Noor Abed) (Jilahva 2019 – Gabes cinema fen)
- Produced ” I have a picture” that won the golden prize in Gouna 2017 , Golden prize in Tripoli and Sharjah film festival .
